Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 7D7N7R OR 7D7N714R – FIFO ex Perth and Busselton
Fortescue is seeking skilled Dozer and Excavator Operators to join our Mining team at the Western Hub. Our fleet across our Western Hub mines include;
- Hitachi 3600 Excavator
- Terex RH170 Excavator
- CAT 6040 & 6030 Excavators
- CAT D10 & D11 Dozers
You will be responsible for operating the equipment to maximum efficiency while maintaining safety, environmental and heritage standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all assets to operational capacity whilst consistently striving to increase process efficiency
- Demonstrate behaviours that align with the Fortescue values
- Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to skillfully operate Dozers and/or Excavators
- Mobile equipment operation in the surface mining industry is essential
- Ability to read mine plans
- Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act Regulations
- A valid WA Class C Driver's License is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
