Julie’s Boarding Kennels and Cattery began our mission in 1988 to provide the utmost care to cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes with state-of-the-art boarding facilities. We are a family owned and run business, and West Australia’s leading boarding facility, operating 365 days a year.
About Your New Role
Our team of Animal Attendants are provided with full training to ensure the welfare of all canine and feline residents. With this training, your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of:
- Feeding the animals and administering their medication
- Exercising and socialising the animals
- Bathing and health checks
- Maintaining kennel and cattery security
- Cleaning kennel and cattery facilities and equipment
- Reporting any issues concerning the health of the animals to your supervisor
- Safe animal handling at all times (including cats and dogs, some which may have behavioural issues)
- Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Company OHS policies and procedures
- Safely transporting boarding animals to and from their home and our facilities
- Valid Driver’s Licence (manual highly desirable) with the ability to get to our facilities in Malaga for all shifts
- We operate 365 days a year, so flexible availability across weekdays, weekends and public holidays is a must (shifts range between 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM and/or 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM weekdays, weekends and public holidays)
- Confident and experienced working with dogs and cats, or a willingness to learn
- A hard worker who is motivated and eager to learn
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work on your feet for long periods of time, with the confidence to restrain animals up to 50kg
- Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
