Animal Local Officer - City Council

Casual (Potential for extension or go to Perm) $ 35.71 hourly rate Super Full time hours (Monday – Friday 7am-3:30pm) Work Location: Ivanhoe Start as early as April 2024 ABOUT THE ROLE: To perform tasks that are undertaken by the Cleansing Unit as required. To inspect, report, clean, and unblock pits and drains including operation of mechanical boring and flushing equipment. To operate and maintain drainage maintenance vehicles and equipment. To assist with the transfer of waste to disposal sites. To provide direction, on-the-job training, and advice on safe working practices to Cleansing staff as required. Conduct daily operator maintenance on trucks and mobile plants as required. To be available for any emergency works and possibly be available for the After-hours duty officer roster. TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Experience in concreting and asphalting. Experience in operating a 1.7t excavator, heavy combination vehicles, front end loader/backhoes and forklifts, light hydraulic crane HR Driving Licence (with expiry date)…
