Salary Australian Honey Sales Pty Ltd is a successful honey producer and we are looking for workers who have basic beekeeping experience to join our apiary team at Wynyard in north-west Tasmania.
Specialising in wholesale honey production and pollination services, we run a full cycle honey enterprise. From breeding our own queens to using extraction and bulk packaging facilities, our focus across all parts of our business is on quality Australian honey.
Duties of the position are to assist the Skilled Apiarist/Beekeeper, and include:
Preparing and feeding beehives
Assisting in swarm controls
Placing and harvesting of honey boxes
Assisting in the transportation of beehives
Basic operation and maintenance of machinery and vehicles
To be considered for this position, you will have:
Some experience within the beekeeping industry
An ability to work both reliably and in a team environment.
A willingness to working away from home when often required
Be strong, fit and healthy
A truck licence would be an advantage
