Application Support Manager

$145,000.00 per annum, plus super

The City is seeking a highly experienced Application SupportManager responsible for coordinating and managing theimplementation, management, and support of ICT applications insupport of the City’s corporate strategies.

You will manage and undertake the analysis, specification, anddevelopment of solutions and ensures there is an effective andefficient development methodology, standards, and procedures inplace so that the solutions developed are aligned with businessneeds.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this position willsupport the City by: 

• Leads and manages the Business Analysis, Applications Development & Applications Support teams in the implementation, management and support of the City’s application-based services in support of the City’s strategic directions and responsibilities.
• Facilitates strong working relationships with key stakeholders to support collaboration, the exchange of information and issues management to build on existing relationships and influence outcomes.
• Leads planning activities for ICT application development requirements.
• Participates in and advises on business process design, implementation and enhancement to business solutions.
• Provides advice during the assessment and analysis of ICT Projects in terms of their impact on existing business solutions.
• Plans, schedules and leads the activities of staff and contract resources.
• Manages the implementation, management and support of applications, and ensures they align with business directions and meet operational requirements.
• Facilitates and manages the resolution of incidents, requests and problems associated with supported applications.
• Develops and implements effective monitoring and reporting on application services.
• Establishes and maintains relevant application frameworks (e.g. Mobility, Integration).
• Undertakes procurement and contract management activities relating to applications development and support.

To be successful in this role you will be able to engage withboth internal and external stakeholders, at all levels of theorganisation, including management and the Executive. This positionalso engages with external stakeholders including other LocalGovernment agencies, consultants, suppliers, and vendors.
