Adelaide Locksmiths first opened for business in 1970 on the corner of St Helen Place and Carrington Street, before moving to 150 Hutt St in 1977. We originally shared a building with Kyton Kakes, now famous for their lamingtons – Adelaide Locksmiths occupied the front section of the building while the bakery operated at the rear. Customers often commented on the lovely smell while waiting for their locks! We also boasted the first female locksmith in Adelaide – the wonderful Mary. In 2022 we moved to our current location at 97 Churchill Rd, and merged with our Sister Company "Australian Locksmiths". With over 44 years in the industry, we have the capacity and skills to carry out any locksmith project, large or small. We use the highest quality materials and workmanship designed to last. Our business is based on the traditional values of quality, reliability and value for money, and you can always count on us for outstanding service. That’s why we have so many satisfied customers.
Qualifications & experience
- No specific formal qualifications required, however basic experience using hand and power tools would be viewed favorably.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Counter sales, key cutting, lock installation, rekeying locks, gaining entry to locks, general workshop duties, monitoring and replying to customer enquiries, general housekeeping.
