Job description

Our growing client, BGL, are seeking applications from Waterproofers and/orApproved Applicators to work in a field environment based on design documentation generated by BGL.

BGL operate in residential, industrial, and commercial settings installing systems at grade or in basements prior to pouring of concrete. This diversity provides candidates with the opportunity to work with a broad range of products and systems.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for deploying various system components (including but not limited to placement of geotextiles, membranes including sheet and liquid, drainage/ventilation layers with minor plumbing works) on substrates which require careful detailing around foundations and service penetrations to successfully integrate into the building.

BGL was established to provide a wide range of skills and services relating to waterproofing, environmental liner and barrier systems.

BGL collaborate with clients and their construction teams to specify, design, and install solutions using available best practice guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
· Installation of Waterproofing and/or Vapour &Gas Mitigation systems in accordance with Approved Applicator Certification and project specific documentation requirements
· Use PPE and tools in accordance with safety requirements
· Maintain responsibility for the cleanliness and security of any tools or equipment
· Facilitate material mobility
· Any other tasks to facilitate the overall success of the product/material installation works
  
Skills & Experience
· Waterproofing and/orApproved Applicator Certification (Waterproofing and/orVapour & Gas Mitigation Systems)
· Previous experience in a similar position
· Construction Induction Card
· Ability to read, understand and implement safety documentation
· Ability to read, understand and implement design specifications and drawings
· Ability to collect reliable and representative quality assurance documentation
· Effective problem-solving techniques and skills
· Punctual and reliable
· Positive and proactive attitude
· Professional internal and external facing communication skills
· Work well in a team environment
· Demonstrates willingness to assist and support others as required
· Plan, prioritise and manage workload to complete tasks within deadlines

This is a physically demanding role working within the construction industry, so a level of fitness and strength will be required as part of the screening process. At times this can also involve working in dusty and unclean environments, therefore candidates need to be prepared for these encounters.
