We partner with customers to deliver creative solutions that optimise transport networks and support safer and more reliable road journeys.It’s an exciting time in our history as we modernise our core STREAMS product and work with customers to enable the future of mobility.About the role:Transmax has grown significantly over the last 18 months, and we are not slowing down!We’re in the next exciting stage of our growth phase which is why we are now recruiting for a AppSec Engineer to play a vital role in our company’s future.As AppSec Engineer your role will be leading the definition and delivery of software product security controls, coordinated through an ISO/IEC 27001-aligned Information Security Management System (ISMS) ensuring adherence to security best practices.You will advocate for and mature secure software development practices by equipping, educating and assisting product development teams to adopt techniques and technologies such as threat modelling and automated security scanning. You’ll also support activities spanning infrastructure, architecture, development and operation of cloud-native SaaS products.You will lead the development of appropriate security measures (including standards, guidelines, and procedures) that balance the empowerment of product teams with the enforcement of security best practices, coordinated through an ISO/IEC 27001-aligned ISMS.Working alongside product managers, architects, engineering leads and SRE’s you will mature secure software development practices imbued in associated architecture, design, tooling, automation, pipelines, and frameworks to improve product outcomes.RequirementsAbout You:You will be tertiary-level qualified in Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science, with at least 5 years of industry experience in software product development and/or SaaS delivery roles.You will be an pathetic team player with excellent problem solving and communication skills, proficient when working using agile principles, roles and practices, and also able to communicate across organisational units to align technical and commercial perspectives.Your toolkit for success:

• Experienced with working in a software-as-a-service environment that utilises DevOps and SRE practices (with heavy emphasis on automation) to continuously develop, test, deploy and support secure, scalable, and highly-available software services
• Adept at analysing contemporary product architectures to assess security, modularity, scalability and resilience, and techniques for achieving effective system integrations.
• Proficient in the information security management of a cloud-native software products by implementing, improving and maintaining standards, treatments and controls.
• Conversant with leading regulatory and industry information security standards and frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, ASD ISM, and QGISF.
• Familiarity with cloud security assessment, such as CIS benchmarks and Cloud Quality rules, and the OWASP Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS).
• Capability of instigating and coordinating external expert security reviews, penetration tests, and actioning of associated findings and recommendations.
• Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure, services and technologies in AWS, including infrastructure as code, containerisation, databases, message queues, secrets management, and monitoring and alerting technologies.
• Familiarity with secure data networking principles, practices, and related public cloud and/or virtual network infrastructure implementations.
