The APS 6Logistics Systems Integration Manager is accountable to lead planning for integration of Logistics Operation Branch (LOB) business processes, procedures and systems with future SAP based systems and the coordination of internal and external project resources to satisfy LOB and external stakeholder requirements. They will set the priorities, monitor workflow and resources and exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve business outcomes. They will manage the operations and performance of Defence employees as applicable in accordance with legislation and Defence policies and procedures.About our Team
The Capability Support Planning Branch reports to the Director General Logistics Operations Branch and controls the following subordinate functions:
- Cost Estimation: Identifying all costs associated with the operational solution and developing a pricing matrix. Maintaining contacts with Defence industry to help ensure competitive Joint Logistics Command (JLC) pricing.
- Cost Modelling: Development of enduring tools to allow a deeper understanding of the ‘Cost to Serve’ JLC customers in support of both Bid development and wider LOB network operations.
- Bid Support: The day-to-day coordination and development of all bid responses.
- Implementation: Assisting Director Business Development and Bid Support to develop the implementation plan for each bid and managing implementation post successful conversion.
- Logistics Information Systems: Management of LOB input to Logistics Systems governance and working groups such as the LSCB, MTVURG and IMURG as well as maintenance of the JLC ESCM supplement. Ongoing development and sustainment of the Web Tools framework and Business Intelligence Products.
- Strategic Requirements: Management and oversight of the LOB Strategic Requirements section.
The candidate will be capable of independent work under broad and detailed instruction with demonstrated experience within the Supply Chain environment and IT Projects. They will have demonstrated experience managing the operations and performance of employees as applicable in accordance with legislation and policies and procedures.
