The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.A new role awaitsThe Analytics, Data & Actuarial Division provides information and advice on Scheme monitoring, financial sustainability and risks. They perform analysis and provide insights for the overall financial sustainability of the Scheme.The role involves delegated authority and responsibility for resolving issues and risks across various activities. It necessitates providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management, and decision-making for a team. The position allows for reasonable autonomy and accountability, requiring the exercise of initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy, applying practices and procedures to achieve desired outcomes within the functions.Where you can add value The suitable candidate for this position can expect everyday to be exciting and challenge driven. You will be satisfied by:

• Extracting, cleansing and preparing of data from multiple sources, in particular the data warehouse, and advising on appropriate data checks for reasonableness.
• Updating and development of regular performance monitoring.
• Supporting the division to fulfil statutory requirements of the NDIS Act 2013 including the provision of data and analysis for reporting to the Board, Minister and for the purpose of public data sharing.
• Utilising statistical and mathematical modelling techniques to undertake analytical work on a range of tasks, including actuarial monitoring and analyses, data tabulations, scheme projects and cost benefit analyses.
• Assisting in designing actuarial, statistical and mathematical models to undertake analytical work that respond to business issues, including actuarial monitoring and analyses, data tabulations, scheme projects and cost benefit analyses.
• Undertaking ad hoc modelling requests and report production.
• Effectively communicating the progress of work responsibilities and outcomes of work undertaken.

qualifications including tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics, progressing

While this role is ideally performed from Surrey Hills - NSW or Geelong - VIC, remote working arrangements may be considered.
