APS 6 Senior Reconsiderations Officer

The Role

Hudson has partnered with a high-profile government authority seeking an APS 6 Senior Reconsiderations Officer who will contribute to and manage a range of reconsiderations including engagement with claimants, employers and medical providers.

Duties

1.Deliver reconsideration services in line with the claims management strategy including the achievement of claims management targets and contributing to successful completion of improvement projects. This includes monitoring claims management activities and compliance with rules and objectives.

3.Accountable for driving the strategic direction of the work area and ensuring its activities are aligned with agency goals.

4.Make decisions on medium to low-risk reconsiderations in line with a planned approach. Support high risk decisions through research, support and drafting.

5.Work across the authority and client agencies, to focus on the delivery of consistent claims management, positive claim outcomes, sharing information and better practice, and resolving conflicts.

7.Provides on-the-job training; provides feedback, support, advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues proactively and when required.

Desirable

Experience in an insurance or injury compensation environment
