The Role
Are you interested in making a contribution that will have a significant positive impact for Defence Finance Group (DFG) employees? The DFG Capability Development Team is looking for highly motivated individuals at the APS 6 level to join our growing team. You will join the DFG Capability Development team at a unique and exciting period of workforce management and culture transformation, working closely with DFG’s senior leaders to understand capability gaps, design contemporary solutions and drive change to attract, retain and develop a high-performing workforce. In addition to supporting the development, delivery and management of strategic talent management initiatives, you will also be responsible for:
  • Providing a high level of administrative and program support;
  • Preparing clear and concise correspondence to communicate initiatives to variety of audiences, including senior leadership committees;
  • Developing and/or contributing to the delivery of reports and analysis using workforce data; and
  • Evaluating programs and initiatives to measure their success, and identify and provide recommendations for future improvement in implementation.

About our Team
The DFG Capability Development Team was established in 2022 as part of the DFG Senior Leadership Group’s ongoing commitment to high-performing Workforce Capability and culture. We drive strategic talent management, learning and leadership programs and workforce planning. Our Directorate partners with stakeholders within the group to understand capability gaps, design contemporary solutions and drive change to enable our high-performing workforce.The team has an exciting program of work to deliver over the next 1-2 years in areas including the implementation and review of DFG’s Employee Value Propositions initiatives, culture transformation and workforce analytics.
