The Role
Within the Business Analysis function, the Workgroup Plans and Integration Officer (APS 6) will directly support the Deputy Director, Logistics Workgroup Plans to:
- Develop or coordinate the development of workforce behaviour analysis of the Defence Logistics profession.
- Guide and support a program of work being undertaken to deliver workforce standards and training activity.
- Contract manage the external service providers engaged to deliver this program of work including registering contracts in SAP and monitoring the progress of deliverables and payments.
- Coordinate the delivery of SLB training courses including planning, scheduling, venue hire and course nomination.
- Perform the duties of Deputy Director, Logistics Workgroup Plans, as required.
About our Team
The Strategic Logistics Branch (SLB), in addition to broader strategic logistics directions, is responsible for co-ordinating and managing strategic workforce standards and strategic logistics training courses to enable the Defence Logistics Network. SLB is maturing standardised workforce requirements and training functions across JLC through the sections of Defence Logistics Force Development (DLFD) and the Australian Defence Logistics College (ADLC).
Our Ideal Candidate
- Experience or an understanding of workforce analysis to achieve complex business intelligence work within an integrated workforce.
- Accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
- Ability to work independently and exercise initiative and judgment in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures.
- Highly developed written communication and interpersonal skills, including managing stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in providing high quality and solution-focussed support across a broad range of corporate support areas.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to work independently, and within a team environment that is constantly changing.
- A willingness to learn combined with the ability to adapt to change and work in ambiguous working environments.
- An understanding of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) or similar model would be highly regarded.
