Your new company
Join a supportive and collaborative team with a Federal Government Department located in Canberra. Your broader team is responsible for engaging with corporations and businesses to develop and implement policies that will impact the future. As part of the team, you will execute communications strategies, engage with stakeholders and create relevant content.
Your new role
You are a digitally minded communicator with the ability to engage a varied audience of both internal and external stakeholders. Your strong background in content creation, strategic thinker and excellent writer who can tailor messaging to a varied audience. As the successful candidate, you will have an opportunity to exercise good judgement and create positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Website management and updates with Drupal
- Perform records management across government management systems
- Social media content creation, moderating and publishing
- Maintaining the support inbox
- Providing graphic design assistance
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have skills in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience developing content across a wide range of channels
- Resilience under pressure and good time management
- Experience in working for the Federal Government
- Baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one
What you'll get in return
This is a 12-month hourly rate or non-ongoing contract at an APS5 level.
Contracting rates can be offered between $50 and $60 + super per hour, depending on experience.
