Our client is seeking to engage an APS5 Junior Content Specialist
Location: Canberra, ACT
Employment: Start – 29/07/2024, End – 30/06/2025, with option to extend up to 12 months

The position to be filled is an APS 5 role within the Content and Navigation sub-team team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the EL1 and Senior Content Specialist to assist with the management of content projects across the My Aged Care website and virtual assistant. This includes working with the digital supplier and key stakeholders to coordinate briefing sessions, and writing and editing high quality content that meets both policy and consumer needs.
- Contribute to high quality website content for the My Aged Care website in line with the Department’s style guide and accessibility requirements.
- Under general direction, manage the news and updates section of the My Aged Care website, including providing advice and editing content from business areas, proactively identifying articles, and monitoring, tracking and archiving articles to ensure the website includes relevant and useful news tailored to older Australians.
- Ensure stakeholders are kept abreast of content changes by maintaining tracking documentation and managing the website’s fortnightly content update email.
- Prepare basic content updates within the website’s content management system, ensuring operating procedures and approval processes are followed.
- Manage content requests received through the group inbox, including providing timely advice to business line areas, coordinating approvals within the Content and Navigation sub-team and Online Services and Information Section, and ensuring record keeping requirements are met.
- Providing content advice to the My Aged Care website team, business line areas and other internal stakeholders.
- Developing and sustaining collaborative and productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
