The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.
A new role awaits
Looking for a challenging and rewarding career to showcase your leadership and strategic planning skills? The NDIA is currently seeking to fill an APS6 Workload Planning position in our National Contact Centre (NCC).
The National Contact Centre is the main communication channel for people to contact the NDIS. The NCC responds to various enquiries from NDIS participants, prospective participants, families of participants, providers, organisations, and the public. The team is also responsible for internal IT support and managing various processing workloads.

In the APS6 NCC Workload Planning role, you will work within a highly respected, collaborative and solutions focused team delivering high quality workforce planning activities.
In this team leadership role, you will be responsible for resolving issues and risks across a range of activities.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Building workforce schedules to meet service demand forecasts.
  • Working with operational staff to ensure schedules and forecasts are aligned to operational requirements.
  • Providing evidence and data to forecasting analysts to inform long term workforce planning.
  • Developing workforce plans to support the delivery of frontline work of the NDIA.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
Our ideal candidate will have expertise knowledge and experience with workforce planning including forecasting, scheduling, and rostering. You will be confident in leading engagement across business areas and building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have some technical skills and be able to conduct analysis and extract stories from complex data sets
You will be required to provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership within the work area.

While this role is ideally performed from Geelong - VIC, Richmond - VIC, Dandenong - VIC, Midland – WA or Robina - QLD, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
