Complete Staff Solutions are currently recruiting for an APS6 Business Analyst, specialising in Supply and Demand, for our Government client. On offer is a 12 month assignment with an option to extend.
Our client is looking for a data/business analyst to analyse trends in demand for immunoglobulin (Ig) and other plasma products and match with supply across the range of suppliers to meet the team's allocation principles for these products. The allocation principles govern the team's contract management activities to deliver a managed flow between domestic and imported (Ig); maintain security of supply; optimise average prices and value for money; and accommodate contractual obligations for minimum and maximum volumes.
*The successful applicant must currently hold a minimum BASELINE security clearance and maintain this at all times during the contract*
About your new team:
You will be working with a small, specialist, fast-paced team of professionals in an Australian Government statutory agency, collaborating with Commonwealth and all State and Territory governments and other responsible parties to ensure that Australia's supply of life-saving medical supplies are safe, secure, adequate, and affordable for all Australians. The team manages 17 contracts covering a range of products that are used to treat a range of medical conditions.
Your key responsibilities within this dynamic team:
- Develop effective forecast models based on trends and Demand patterns.
- Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Provide advice to decisions makers on supply decisions which are informed by robust data analysis.
- Liaise and consult with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, suppliers, experts, jurisdictional health providers and representative organisations for industry consumers and patients.
- Administer and evaluate contracts to ensure that technical and contractual requirements are met.
- Undertake timely preparation of complex written materials relevant to supply planning and product allocation including preparation of briefs, correspondence, reports and minutes.
- Work constructively with other team members in delivery of outcomes.
Your key capabilities:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they meet the criteria and behaviour's set out in the ILS APS6 profile. In particular, candidates must:
- Be highly motivated, engaged, flexible and resilient
- Be highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines with competing priorities and deliver work to a high standard with strong attention to detail
- Be capable of managing multiple projects and delivering results on time and under pressure
- Have strong data analysis and forecasting skills
- Have the capacity to acquire knowledge quickly on the operation of the supply of commercial blood products under the national blood arrangements.
