Address- . Arborist assistant - Labourer
We are currently looking for young fit persons with an interest in Horticulture / Arboriculture to join our tree crew.
You will need to physicall & medically fit for this work as it often requires repetative physicall exertion and manipulation of wieghted items up 20kg.
Types of physical work include but are not limited to:
- Raking & Shovelling (spreading mulches, clean up)
- Feeding mulcher (dragging limbs)
- Chainsaw handling
- Climbing trees and pruning (during and after training)
- Handling lifting equipment ( chains, slings, transplant frames)
- Handling milling equipment
Typical daily activity would include:
- Tree Pruning & Removal.
- Transplanting trees.
- Pest and disease managment
- Milling timber.
- Driving small and large vehicles
- Driving machinery
- Work in environmentally sensitive areas
- Building,harvesting, relocating native habitat projects.
- Landscape maintenance.
Pre start requirements:
- Drivers licence
- Physically fit.
- Interest in arboriculture / horticulture training qualification.
- Prepared to undergo random drug testing when requested by our clients.
- Keen to learn and be adaptable to various jobs.
- Prepared to work away from city (short term country projects)
- Non Smoker
If you possess any of the skills listed below they will be regarded as advantagous in your application, however training will be provided to sucessful applicants.
- Workplace first aid.
- MR or HR drivers licence
- Elevated work platform
- Pesticide safety cert
- Chainsaw safety cert
