JBG Architects is a boutique architecture and interior design practice with 25 years of experience working across wine, hospitality, tourism, accommodation, commercial and residential sectors, and heritage projects. We are based in the Barossa Valley, with an office located in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD.

As our portfolio continues to grow, we require the services of an experienced architectural draftsperson to support our architectural and interior design team. The ideal person will have a minimum of three years’ experience working on commercial projects and is ready to hit the ground running. 

Key Responsibilities

In our practice of 10 people, your role will be to support our architecture and interior design Project Leaders in the preparation of technical drawings using Revit and ensuring compliance with council requirements, building standards, and building regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma in Architectural Drafting & Design is a minimum requirement for this role.
• Proven time management skills, and experience working across multiple projects in a variety of sectors.
• Proficient in Revit.
• Experience working with councils. 
• Experience working within a team environment while also confident to work independently.
• Ability to take instructions and work to deadline, at times under pressure.
• Ability to show initiative, problem solve, and contribute positively to our boutique practice. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• An interest in, or skills in architectural presentation and ESD are desirable. 
• An appreciation of practical, cost-effective design.

This position is ideal for an experienced draftsperson wanting to work within a skilled team and looking for variety in the scope of project work. The option is available to work either on a full-time or permanent part-time basis or in a contract role.
