About the Role
Signals Intelligence and Effects Group (SIE) is seeking candidates to fill a number of mission leadership positions.
These Signals Intelligence Managers will lead multi-disciplinary teams to conduct complex research and analysis of foreign Signals Intelligence, technical data and a wide range of policy issues. These Managers and their teams collaborate across ASD to find innovative solutions in a fast paced and high energy environment.
Successful candidates will receive specialized on-the-job training and access to relevant industry-related courses to develop their skills and help build people networks across the National Intelligence Community.
The EL1 Signals Intelligence Manager undertakes a combination of the following duties:
- Develops knowledge or expertise of:
- geopolitical issues and/or
- data science; and/or
- information and communications technology trends.
- Uses expertise to lead a Signals Intelligence team. This includes managing, planning and prioritising team's research, analysis and translation of collected data to produce Signals Intelligence products tailored to customer requirements.
- Develops the ability to lead a team to use data science and data manipulation techniques to identify and solve analysis problems.
- Uses relevant expertise to write briefs and advice for senior customers.
- Strategically plans, supports and contributes to the development of ASD's analyst workforce.
- Provides advice and guidance on prioritisation of collection optimization and capability development efforts
