About the Role:
The Directorate Coordinator undertakes a broad range of administrative assistant duties to support the effective operation of the Workforce Capabilities Directorate. The position contributes to and supports the development, delivery and maintenance of organisational professional learning, development and recognition initiatives.
What you will do:
- Manage and coordinate the Director’s appointment schedule, including arrangement of meetings, organising travel arrangements, preparing relevant meeting papers and undertaking a range of administrative assistance to support the day-to-day coordination of the Director’s activities.
- Provide human resource management support to the Director, including policy advice, coordinating recruitment, training and induction and participating in the development, coordination and induction of the business units onboarding plans.
- Undertake minor projects and research as directed, including sourcing, evaluating and analysing data, formulating recommendations and assisting in the implementation of project outcomes, initiatives and strategies.
- Liaise with the office of senior agency executives and managers to ensure that the Director and directorate management are kept informed on any urgent requirements and requests, including proactively alerting the Director and directorate management and staff emerging issues and opportunities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, plans and procedures.
- Use resources effectively and implement strategies by managing HR Reports and supporting activities.
- Oversee the delivery of administrative support services, including maintenance of office equipment and supplies, records management and maintenance of databases.
- Establish and maintain effective open networks, relationship, and communication channels across the department.
- Help to maintain a safe and healthy working environment by proactively reporting incidents, hazards and injuries.
Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO4 $75,430 - $79,070 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation
