JobDescription:TheSenior Content Designer:
- Is an expert in online user behaviour, website best-practice trends and issues, accessibility and web user experience
- Educates and drives a culture of accessibility, continuous improvement and prioritising the end-user of online content across the department
- Interprets user and web traffic data to evaluate the effectiveness of web content and provide evidence-based recommendations that meet user needs
- Performs a high volume of advanced web publishing across multiple websites and the department's intranet
- Contributes to the development of content strategy, policies and procedures that guide the creation and maintenance of useful and usable web content
- Builds the capacity of the department to deliver accessible best-practice online services
- Builds strong working relationships with business units and works collaboratively with subject matter experts and communications professionals to write clear content in plain language that meets user needs and adheres to website best-practice
- Is responsible for managing the governance, performance and continuous improvement of communications channels such as the department's public website and intranet.
Qualifications:
Desirable: Qualificationsin web content design, accessibility or user experience.
SpecialConditions:
Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN–EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect -Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course orthe online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to beupdated every three years.
