The Education Standards Board (ESB) is the independent statutory authority that regulates early childhood services and registers schools to improve EDUCATION AND care outcomes for children and young people in South Australia.
Our main functions are:
approving early childhood services
assessing and rating early childhood services
educating and monitoring compliance with the law
taking regulatory action in the event of non-compliance
registering schools
reviewing the registration of schools

Role details
The Principal Education and Guidance Officer is responsible to the Manager, Regulatory Operations for leading, planning and implementing ESB’s internal training and development of regulatory staff and determining education material for the sectors, using data and insights, focusing on voluntary compliance, including website material, bulletins, webinars, targeted education, stakeholder engagement and training.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a Department of Human Services Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
Flexible working arrangements are available for this position.
Compliance with Government legislation, Code of Ethics for the SA Public Sector, State Records Act 1997, ESB policies and procedures, including ethical / accountable resources and information management, WHS and injury management, risk management, and the access / equity /diversity strategies of the public sector
The incumbent will be required to maintain a safe working environment by adopting appropriate hazard management practices consistent with the role.
