About the Role:
The System Performance Division has the lead role in building and using the evidence base needed to create a world-leading education system.
The Data Insights team is committed to understanding how children and young people learn and how the education system can have the greatest impact on the lives of South Australians.
The Manager, Strategic Analysis is responsible for leading the design, delivery and ongoing evaluation of a range of Strategic Analysis priorities. This information will inform the Senior Executive Group’s strategic decision-making as well as planning and policy development across the department. Advice and analysis will be required across a broad range of areas including student learning, the workforce, industry, and physical assets and how these relate to each other.
To do this will require the Manager, Strategic Analysis to maintain relationships, partnerships and networks with executive management and key internal and external stakeholders across education and government agencies and to investigate new directions in analysis and capture of data. Specific priorities will be set annually and monitored.
Qualifications:
Desirable: A relevant tertiary qualification in mathematical, statistical, biomedical or social sciences, or equivalent experience
Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO8 $119,317 - 123,822 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation
