Asparagus, broccolini, snow pea pickers and packers required.
We require approximately 50 hardworking and dedicated workers to assist with the upcoming asparagus, broccolini and snow pea harvests in the Koo Wee Rup and region. The work will involve both harvesting and packing the vegetables, with the season commencing in August 2024 and continuing to mid to late May 2025
Successful applicants will work on average 30 hours a week and will be paid an hourly rate as casual workers under the Horticulture Award 2020.
Applicants must be flexible with working hours, as the work is weather driven and will require a commitment of up to seven days a week. You will be required to work an 8-10 hour shift per day in all weather conditions, with start times varying from as early as 1am. It is desirable for applicants to have a current driver’s licence and access to their own vehicle to allow them to work the various hours.
This type of work is physically demanding and strenuous. All vegetables are individually harvested in the fields by hand, which requires significant walking and bending on uneven ground. Crates can weigh up to 7kg, and require lifting by hand. Packing shed work requires workers sort, grade and bunch quickly and efficiently whilst standing for long periods of time. All applicants should be fit, flexible and of sound health to enable them to conduct this type of work.
Interested applicants only should apply online or email ***********@deepcreekorganics.com.au. Phone applications will not be accepted. Only successful applicants will contacted.
