Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Foreman to lead our paving crews in the successful completion of asphalt projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures. They will be responsible for supervising crews, coordinating work schedules, and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews to ensure productivity and quality workmanship.
- Coordinate with project managers to plan and schedule daily activities.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of paving equipment.
- Monitor job site safety and enforce company safety policies.
- Train and mentor crew members on proper paving techniques.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets specifications.
- Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in asphalt paving
- Proven track record of successfully leading paving crews
- Thorough knowledge of asphalt materials, equipment, and techniques
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and project specifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, a heavy vehicle licence would be preferable with this position.
