Roads 2000 is a well-established Asphalt company in Western Australia, operating as part of the Politis Group specialising in asphalt production, placement and project management. Roads 2000 operates from a centrally located office in Osborne Park with modern asphalt production batch plants in Wangara and Neerabup and a Mobile Plant. We provide a professional service to government, commercial and residential clients.
We are currently seeking an experienced, full-time, Asphalt Supervisor for an immediate start, Leading hands & Foreman with experience will be considered. . Reporting to the Asphalt Laying Manager you will be responsible for planning, leading, control and the coordination of asphalt personnel. You will also be charged with managing suppliers, and resources to undertake and complete projects and maintenance activities on time, in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with both contractual and statutory requirements.
The position will be based at our Asphalt plant in Wangara, working on Metro and regional works at intervals moving with the Mobile Plant on regional works through Western Australia. This role will require regular travel to regional areas within Western, rosters may include nightshift and weekend work.
Responsibilities
• Managing and coordinating projects on a daily basis,
• Liaising with both internal and external clients,
• Coordinating, supervising and monitoring upcoming works,
• Completing and managing relevant paperwork,
• Managing & motivating a dedicated workforce,
• Conducting site inspections,
• Interpreting plans and technical specifications,
• Managing & driving safety, quality and environmental initiatives within the workplace.
Skills and experience
This role requires an experienced Asphalt Laying Supervisor, with hands on experience as an Operator in Asphalt Laying Crews. Additional Requirements below;
- Experience within the road surfacing industry,
- Previous Supervision/ Foreman experience,
- Planning and Project Coordination experience,
- Well developed analytical, problem solving and planning skills,
- The ability to plan and program within a dynamic and changing civil environment,
- Strong communication skills,
- The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships
- HR driver's License (valid in WA)
- Must hold a current Blue/White Card (valid in WA)
- Focused on customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety requirements
- Reliable transport, as public transport is limited
- Able to pass Drug and Alcohol and Pre-Employment Medical assessments
- Willing to complete a National Police Clearance
