We are looking for an Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team and ensure the efficient operation of the Asphalt Plant from our operations in Malaga, WA. The successful candidate will be part of the Production team producing asphalt to be carted to projects throughout WA. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Production Supervisor. As an Asphaltech employee we want you to succeed in your position and will provide you with training and development.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Completing pre-start checks.
- Daily operating of the Asphalt Plant with computer-controlled system.
- Accurate batching of ingredients to produce asphalt mixes within the specification requirements.
- Completing general maintenance of the Asphalt Plant and yard when required.
- Ordering and scheduling raw materials.
- Allocating asphalt cartage trucks to ensure the smooth operation.
- Maintaining general housekeeping around the asphalt yard.
To be successful in this position the ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a similar position will be highly regarded although training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Experience working with Asphalt Plant equipment.
- Experience working in a Control Room.
- Construction Induction Card -White Card.
- Current Driver’s licence.
- Have access to reliable transport.
- Loader tickets will be highly regarded.
- High Risk licence LF will be highly regarded.
- An excellent attitude and team player.
- A strong focus towards safety.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
