Remuneration: $87,087 per annum - $89,775 per annum
Location: Regents Park (relocating to Sydney Olympic Park in 2023)

About the opportunity

The NSW Ambulance Recruitment Team is seeking a highly motivated person to fill the role of Assessment Centre Officer on a permanent full-time basis.

This role is primarily responsible for the use of assessment centres within the organisation to undertake recruitment for operational positions. This includes the use of assessment centres for selection, recruitment and development. The role contributes to broader capability assessment and development across the organisation.

About the Recruitment Unit

Our unit has a number of recruitment portfolios including Corporate, Control Centre, Graduate Paramedics, Specialist Paramedics and Qualified Paramedics. Within each portfolio, we have dedicated Human Resources Officers and Team Leaders who collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders to provide recruitment advice, hiring support and recommendations in a timely and policy focused manner.

What we are looking for:
To be successful in this role the following skills and experience are required:

Highly developed organisational and time management skills as you will be managing multiple recruitment campaigns simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be required to build relationships with all levels of staff to engage stakeholders across the organisation in relation to assessment centres and related recruitment and capability initiatives.
Ability to deliver high quality work with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
