Job description

SCEE is currently expanding its operation in one of our major projects in QLD with the EQL Network and Asset Inspection and Maintenance services in regional areas in Queensland. We are currently looking for multiple experienced and qualified Asset Inspectorsto join our team on a full-time basis. This is a long-term project for 2 years with the possibility of extension and occasional travel is required.
Normal working rotations are 9-day fortnights (5 days week 1, 4 days week 2) or when travel is required a 10 days on 4 days off roster, with generous LAHA provided.

We are expanding our search to all Australia, and we are offering relocation assistance to Mackay in QLD. To be successful, you will have proven experience, confidence in your abilities, high work ethic, and a drive to succeed will ensure your success with the company.

Key duties and responsibilities:  

  • Full Inspection of overhead lines, below ground assets and associated earthing systems
  • iPad input of defects and data for client upload
  • Assist with mentoring of Trade Assistants
  • Comply with Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures

Qualifications and requirements:  
    • Certificate II in ESI – Asset Inspection & Testing (UET20621)
    • EQL accreditation for Asset Inspection / Earth Testing (Highly desirable) 
    • Extensive 4wd skills and experience (Highly desirable)  
    • Be physically fit and able to dig to a depth around assets.
    • Able to pass a rigorous physical and Pre employment Medical Assessment and further regular random D&A testing.
    • Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence
    • Hold a OH&S Construction Safety White card.
    • Hold current Senior First Aid and CPR/LVR
    • Have thorough understanding of the EQL Distribution and Transmission network.
    • Be able to work autonomously achieving set KPIs.
    • Occasional travel required on a 10 and 4 roster with EBA LAHA payments.
    • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Holds an Electrical Linesman License (Highly desirable)
