Assistant Accountant

Campus Perth and Hostel G Perth are hospitality venues located in the heart of Northbridge. 

Campus Perth is a co-living space offering students from across the globe private and shared accommodation with free monthly events such as fitness classes, pizza nights and parties. Campus Perth recently won the international Co-Living Awards for Best User and Community Experience. 

Hostel G is a comfortable, accessible boutique hostel offering alternative accommodation for travelers. 

Owned and operated by our parent company GCPH Australia, our diverse and vibrant organisation is looking for an Assistant Accountant to help our Financial Controller with the following duties:

Assistant Accountant 

• AP function (including payment and creditors' reconcilation)
• Monthly Bank Reconciliation
• Monthly Back charge
• Purchase order maintenance 
• Assisting the Financial Controller with month end closure
• Attending to internal and supplier customer queries
• Processing of prepayments, accruals and journals
• Assisting in the preparation of quarterly BAS
• Other tasks as required by the Financial Controller

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Work experience in a similar role and/or working towards a degree or diploma in accounting or similar
• Well developed communication skills
• Organisational skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work within strict deadlines and month end timetables
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Experience in the hospitality industry (preferred but not essential)
• Sun systems experience a bonus (preferred but not essential)
