Assistant Center Director

We are seeking a passionate, driven and knowledgeable Assistant Director, who has the experience and desire to lead, support and manage our team of Educators, and help with the day-to-day running of our amazing childcare centre, Imagine Childcare and Kindergarten. 

This is a unique position where the Assistant Director role is a predominantly an off the floor position. Your focus will be to support our Centre Director on a day-to-day basis.

Experience & Responsibilities/Selection Criteria

• Minimum 1 years’ experience in mentoring a team as an Assistant Director.
• A sound understanding and application of the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Experience in overseeing and implementing a program based on children's needs and interests. 
• A strong understanding of compliance and of National Quality Standards (NQF).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound experience in supporting the staff management of a medium to large childcare service.
• The ability to support and work collaboratively with your team, and assist and support the Centre Director in the general day-to-day running of the service.
• The ability to manage and lead community engagement.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Minimum of a Diploma of Children's Services.
• Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications.
• Current Blue Card 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to lead in a classroom environment.
• A sound understanding of the EYLF and NQF.
