YOUR NEW ROLE:
As Assistant Director, you will play a vital role in supporting the Centre Director in providing exceptional leadership and guidance to our centre. Leveraging your extensive experience as a Senior Educator, you will cultivate strong relationships with children, families, and educators, enriching the learning environment for all.
Join our centre in Research and receive the support and training you need to develop your leadership skills and prepare for future roles in the organisation.
KEY DELIVERABLES FOR SUCCESS:
- Maintain a safe environment for children, families, team members, and all visitors
- Perform key business administration tasks including rostering, labour management, family account management and e-purchasing, when required, in the absence of the Administrative Assistant
- Support the Centre Director to deliver a collaborative positive culture and Centre Vision
- Responsible for the overall management of the Centre during the Centre Director’s absence
- Use and implement the Where We Grow Practice Guide and support the Centre Director in the leadership of the Centre team to provide high-quality early learning and care that meets or exceeds the NQS
- Hold the Centre team accountable by providing clear direction and goals, regularly providing feedback.
- Support the recruitment, retention and the effective management of people performance issues of the Centre team.
- Build respectful and reciprocal relationships with children, families and team members across the organisation
- Use internal and external networks to ensure children and families have access to appropriate support networks
- Actively support the Centre’s attendance targets by supporting Centre teams to proactively engage with parents to convert and retain families (current and potential)
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Minimum of 3 In a Senior Educator position
- Excellent proven written, verbal and influencing skills
- Sound business administration skills
- Knowledge of rostering
- Energetic, action oriented with a passion for mentoring and inspiring others
- Customer service oriented
- Strong knowledge of Assessment rating and framework
- Solutions and ideas focused
- Strong collaborative style
- Diploma of Children’s Services / Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood)
- Child Protection Training, valid WWCC and other certificates
