The Opportunity

As the Assistant Community Manager, you will work closely with the Community Manager and residents to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations and administrative tasks of the community. Your customer-centred approach to your work and ability to connect with our residents will help you be successful. This role is a customer-facing role where you will be required to be organised, fast-paced and friendly. This role is perfect for a senior Administration Assistant or someone who has come from an operations background who can deliver a high level of service to this community.

This is a part-time opportunity. Overseeing daily operation of Glynde Lodge Retirement Village & Leabrook Lodge Retirement Village, Monday - Thursday 8:00-16:00

You will:

  • Be the first point of contact for residents and their queries, compliments and concerns
  • Handle administrative tasks such as updating resident information, billing and invoicing
  • Assist the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring the facilities, gardens and grounds are of a high standard
  • Liaise with residents & their families, internal stakeholders and external contractors
  • Ensure ongoing daily operations of entire village services including safety, security and financial performance
  • Support the Community Manager with implementing new projects, policies and procedures and step in for them in their absence
  • Complete general administrative tasks including but not limited to - email & phone communication, distribution of mail & notices and incident recording

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in an operations management role or senior administration role highly desirable (e.g Hospitality, Hotel/Tourism, Real Estate, Property or Facilities Management)
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Suite and highly computer literate as you will learn new programs
  • High-level written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and attention to detail
  • Current Police Check certificate (required, but we can complete for you!)
  • Two COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
