We are seeking a Compliance Assistant Manager to support the Compliance Manager and Head of Risk & Compliance in providing comprehensive risk and support to the banks business units. This role primarily focuses on AML/CTF Compliance, ensuring the operations align with the banks Risk Management Framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk & Compliance
- Assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures.
- Conduct compliance monitoring and maintain the Compliance Monitoring Program.
- Participate in Operational Risk Register workshops with stakeholders, reviewing and adjusting risk levels as necessary.
- Facilitate reporting of potential or actual compliance breaches to the Head of Risk and Compliance.
- Regularly review and update the Risk Register, implementing strategies to minimize and control risks.
AML / CTF / Sanctions
- Assist in annual ML/CTF Risk Assessments, Sanction Risk Assessments, Correspondent Banking Due Diligence, and Country Risk Reviews.
- Review daily transaction monitoring activities and live sanctions screening.
- Assist in responses to regulator requests and reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English both written and verbal communication skills. (must have)
- Experience in Banking/Financial Services within either compliance or risk management.
- Working knowledge of AML/CTF
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.
- Keen eye for detail and ability to work against tight deadlines.
- Ability to identify key risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
