Assistant Coordinator - Petrie

We are seeking a permanent, part-time Assistant Coordinator for Petrie Community OSHC in Petrie. Our service offers before school care, after school care, and vacation care.Petrie Community Outside School Hours Care is located on the grounds of Our Lady of the Way Catholic Primary School. Operating for over 15 years as part of the Petrie Parish Catholic Community, our service follows an u0027after school care family approach.u0027 We prioritise caring for one another and maintaining strong relationships with all children and families.We are a medium-sized service with a capacity for 90 children, supported by a stable and consistent team of educators.If you are self-motivated, passionate about supporting the well-being, learning, and personal development of primary school-aged children, and committed to providing a happy and safe learning environment, we want to hear from you.Hours: 33 hours per week
Remuneration: $29.15 – $34.39 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience, as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010.Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including:

• Program planning, delivery, and documentation.
• Staff rostering and supervision.
• Administration and financial management tasks (e.g. fee collection)
• Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program.
• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
• Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Catholic Early EdCare

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
• Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the coordinator.
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
• Experience in the education and care of children.
• Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
• Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
