Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Clinical Service Integration

The role:

• Provide leadership and management to the statewide Operational and Clinical Informatics teams working within CHaPS, including coordinating, informing and monitoring all aspects relating to operational planning, sustainability and service development of the Statewide Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS).
• Work closely with other members of the Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) team to coordinate, and evaluate, clinical input into the wide variety of project tasks, from the various technical, operational and policy contributors, to ensure congruency with the overall service approach.
• Provide senior leadership and expert professional advice to the Nursing Director on clinical systems improvement and Clinical Service models to inform improvements in service planning and design, including high level support and authoritative, specialist advice to the Nursing Director and Executive leadership team on both strategic and operational matters related to the delivery of Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) Services.
• Establish and maintain mutually productive relationships and negotiate high level agreements with both internal and external stakeholders, and facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders across the DoH, advocating for data integration, information and knowledge sharing.
• As system owner for the Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) Information Management System, manage the development, operation and reporting for clinical, administrative, medico-legal and planning purposes.

• This role provides senior leadership to Child Health and Parenting Services with a focus on clinical systems and informatics.
• The Child Health Parenting Service is the core primary health provider of Child and Family Health Nursing services across Tasmania, including growth and developmental screening, parenting support and targeted family support.
• Contribute to strategic planning and future direction for a dynamic organisation, striving to deliver lifelong positive outcomes for Tasmanian children and their families.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing on 15 May 2024

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location: Statewide, Tasmania

Your primary work location may be located in the Southern, Northern or North Western Region.

Salary: $134,445 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
• Current Working with Children Registration
