- Manage daily sales activities, plan and assign work ensuring the right resourcing
- Execute sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales
- Actively pursue opportunities to enlarge the sales base, create an ongoing pipeline, and successfully shift business from the competition.
- Interact with outside contacts: guests, vendors, and other contacts as needed
- Monitor account performance and produce monthly reports and forecasts to analyse current/potential trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure sales activities meeting or exceeding established revenue plans.
- Form strategic alliances and partnerships to develop opportunities to develop business, activities and promotions to build awareness; and raise the profile of the Crowne Plaza Adelaide to their customer bases.
- In conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing, develop and manage sales budgets and expenses to generate maximum returns.
- Work closely with Revenue Management and ensure that pricing and yield management principles are being communicated and implemented by the entire sales team.
- Provide creative input to innovative product development and new revenue opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Business or Commerce
- Minimum 1 year experience in a senior sales capacity within Australasia with a proven track record of success
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Undertaken formal Sales Management Training
- Comprehension of Hotel systems and revenue management principles
