Assistant Executive Housekeeper

Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is located in the heart of Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef.  With stunning views out to the impossibly blue waters of the Whitsundays, it is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the island. 

The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Executive Housekeeper to join our team. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will work closely with the Executive Housekeeper to ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance of the hotel meets our high standards. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent leadership skills and a passion for delivering unparalleled guest satisfaction.Assisting the Executive Housekeeper in the day to day operations and running of the department.

• Performing all duties & responsibilities in the absence of the Exec. Housekeeper
• Undertaking daily room inspections on Room Attendants & Supervisors, ensuring high standards are maintained with exceptional attention to detail
• Uphold all safety and sanitation guidelines to provide a safe and healthy environment for guests and employees.
• Daily allocation of rooms and duties.
• Assist with the induction and training of new team members.

• Well organised, with fantastic attentional to detail.
• Previous housekeeping supervisory experience in a hotel or resort environment
• Team orientated with the ability to work under pressure.
• Is time efficient and works with speed and efficiency.
• Full availability to work a rotating roster.
• Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Opera an advantage
