The Role:
We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated Assistant In Nursing (AIN's) to join our team in the Northern Rivers. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or further their career in community nursing, with a focus on providing high quality care to veterans and their families. This role can include night and weekend shifts, however we will always endeavour to cater to your preferences.
Pay: $38 - $67 per hour
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting registered nurses in the delivery of nursing care to clients in their homes
- Providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, such as showering, dressing, and grooming
- Assisting with the prompting of medication
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients and their families
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Adhering to infection control and occupational health and safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Health Services, Individual Support or related field
- A current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Experience working in the healthcare/support industry is highly regarded but not essential
- A compassionate, kind and caring approach to working with clients and their families
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good problem-solving and time management skills
- A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
