We have a strong pipeline of work across all sectors and are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Assistant Landscape Architect to join our expanding Landscape Architecture and Urban Design team based in our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices.

As part of our team of Landscape Architects, urban designers, and engagement specialists, you will collaborate with national and international multi-disciplinary design teams, using your insight and creativity to generate positive, sustainable, impactful designs. We have a strong practice design manifesto and always drive to deliver the best.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide design input to a range of projects, including infrastructure, public realm, parks & greenspaces, urban regeneration, and design guidance.
  • Support the senior Landscape team.
  • Preparation of bids and input to work-winning activities.
  • Provision of landscape advice to clients.
  • Management, including resource and financial management, of projects.
  • Mentoring of junior staff.

Requirements:

  • A Post Graduate Diploma or Master’s qualification in Landscape Architecture.
  • Experience of working in practice in public or private sector would be advantageous.
  • Competent in the use of AutoCAD and Adobe software packages. Ability to use SketchUp, Revit or other 3D platforms would be advantageous.
  • Attractive hand drawing skills would be beneficial.

The successful applicant must be flexible and self-motivated and be expected to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent design, communication, and presentation skills and capable of transmitting your passion for Landscape Architecture to clients, other professions, and the broader team.
  • Proactive can-do attitude, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task and work to tight project deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work in other UK offices for short periods of time according to workload demands.
  • Keenness to develop your personal and professional skills in a supportive environment.

Additional Information:

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.  If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview.
