Moonee Valley Racing Club (MVRC) is one of Australia's most progressive and innovative Racing Clubs and multi-purpose entertainment venues. It is also home of the prestigious Ladbrokes Cox Plate Carnival. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join its Junction Club gaming and entertainment venue as the Assistant Manager.
As Assistant Manager you are responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Junction Club Bistro, Bars, Gaming Room and TAB while providing administrative and operational support to the Venue Manager. The preferred candidate will be a strong leader who can successfully ensure the smooth, efficient and profitable running of the venue.
Broadly, the role will involve:
- Successful management of the day-to-day operation of Legends, including on-going professional development of staff.
- Act in the capacity of Venue Manager in their absence.
- Ability to analyse P&L and monthly reports and recommend actions to improve business performance.
- Ensure customer service standards remain at the highest level through leading by example.
- Complete the rostering of the Junction Club workforce to ensure labour and other on costs are in line with budget expectations.
- Ensure appropriate equipment is available to meet the needs of the daily operations, including the appropriate movement of stock.
- Support the Venue Manager in the management of performance issues in a confidential and timely manner.
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a management role within a gaming & entertainment venue.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional knowledge of day-to-day operations of a gaming & entertainment venue.
- Experience in exceptional customer service in an entertainment venue.
