SalaryAbout the Role:
We are seeking full-time professionals in food and beverage to join our new restaurant and cocktail bar. Part of the Adelphi Hotel, the Adelphi Lounge will be opening in early May. Training will begin in late April.
You will be part of a dedicated team, committed to product knowledge and delivering exceptional customer service. The restaurant’s focus is on a frequently changing set menu, paired with wines and cocktails, showcasing the best of Melbourne’s produce. Expect frequent tastings to elevate your palate and expand your ability to pair food and drinks.

The successful candidates will have a passion for food and drink, and a strong desire to advance their knowledge. Salary will be commensurate with experience, and all tips are distributed among staff on shift.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a section waiter in a restaurant with wine service and multiple sittings
- Proficiency in managing an electronic booking system
- Experience in shift leadership or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Enthusiasm for wine, cocktails, and Melbourne's dining scene
- Familiarity with major Australian wine regions and grape varieties
- General knowledge of classic cocktails and beer
Advantageous:
- WSET Level 2, 3, or equivalent certification
- Experience in roster management and achieving KPIs
- Experience in running social media for a restaurant
- Proficiency in proof reading
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, photo editing and using graphic design programs
- Ability to capture high-quality food and beverage images
- Permanent residency or citizenship
- Familiarity with email or mobile apps used for organising time
- Cocktail bartending experience
