Our Meat Managers pride themselves on the integral role that they play in the development of our team culture. We like our managers to treat the Meat Department as if it were their own. Working as part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
- Fresh food retail or supermarket knowledge with a customer focused approach.
- A good understanding of working within a team environment.
- Butchery experience using meat room equipment including bandsaw and mincer for breaking down carcass beef, lamb & pork. (Supermarket experience a plus.)
- Competency of ordering, cost control, wage control, rostering and gross profit budgeting.
- Passion and enthusiasm, with a hands on approach.
- A Flair for merchandising.
- A commitment to Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.
- An Australian Butchery Trade Certificate.
- The ability to work weekends
- Previous experience.
