Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations team to coordinate, plan, and execute operational activities.
  • Formulate and implement strategies to enhance services for NDIS participants.
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with NDIS participants, comprehend their requirements, and coordinate services accordingly.
  • Manage and respond to referrals, including creating service agreements and ensuring timely follow-up on service delivery.
  • Forge strong relationships with existing Support Workers to ensure their ongoing commitment to client care, compliance, and work performance.
  • Staff Recruitment: Lead recruitment processes to attract and retain high-calibre staff aligned with organisational needs and objectives.
  • Staff Coordination: Collaborate with staff to effectively manage care rosters for each client.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance of staff members.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and uphold strong relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, families, community partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Financial Coordination: Work alongside the Accounts Manager to manage budgets, ensure financial sustainability, and achieve business goals.
  • Compliance Assurance: Guaranteeing compliance with NDIS standards and regulations, implementing policies and procedures to maintain high levels of compliance.
  • After-Hours Support: Provide flexible support to address urgent operational issues or emergencies outside regular business hours.
  • Develop and implement plans to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Engage with management teams to ensure the execution of company processes.
  • Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organisation and with Managers as a proficient developer of solutions to business challenges.
  • Travel within the ACT and surrounding area to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Substantial experience in operational management within the care sector, preferably NDIS.
  • Relevant Diploma in the Human Service Sector  or a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar disability sector role.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Business acumen along with experience in business development and financial management.
  • In-depth knowledge of NDIS compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
