We are an iconic and reputable Italian restaurant located in the heart of Cairns. Piccolo offers a high standard of service, provide hand-made, high quality dishes and serve up a fun and memorable Italian atmosphere. We have a well-established, highly experienced group of front of house staff and are looking for an additional team member with supervisor or management skills. Our FOH staff have a high degree of professionalism when it comes to maintaining guest satisfaction. We offer full table service for our guests from walk in to walk out. We are open for lunch and dinner Monday-Friday and dinner ONLY on Saturday and Sunday. Our wine list and bar product range is extensive with a focus on Italian and local producers.
Assistant Restaurant Manager
THE ROLE
As an Assistant Manager, you will provide daily operational support to the General Manager and by overseeing operations on her absence. You will be responsible for managing an effective team, including completion of timesheets, identify opportunities to implement change, ensure customer feedback is promptly investigated and resolved fostering a positive outcome and be the face of the front office. Ensuring top shelf service to all guests will be a paramount priority. You will also undertake inventory and stock control with a strong focus on bar operations.
Renumeration: Base salary of $68,000.00 – $80,000.00 per annum + Super + potential bonus will be offered to the successful candidate
THE IDEAL CANDITATE
- Has strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle guest interactions and complaints with professionalism and tact
- Has efficient problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Hosts exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Can accept oral and written communication with detail precision, charming and professional verbal and written etiquette
- Can demonstrate experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in front office operations
- Shows stock take accuracy and diligence with regular inventory monitoring
- Has a desire to advance current bar procedures and policies and holds a strong focus on stock control, organization and inventory
- Is conscious of compliance and health and safety regulations
- Ensures consistently high degree of excellence in service
- Has a strong focus on business sales and targets
- Shows enthusiasm, reliability, consideration, respect and trust on daily basis
MANDATORY CANDITATE REQUIRMENTS
- Legal work authorization for Australia
- Minimum one year commitment
- Personal vehicle
- Minimum three years hospitality experience
