TriCare is currently recruiting for a full-time AssistantRetirement Village Manager (VM) for the Runaway Bay Retirement Community, a well-established canal-front retirement community located on the Gold Coast. It is one of the Tricare’s largest Retirement Villages, comprising more than 140 independent living villas and 49 serviced apartments, which provide additional services to older residents. An active resident population makes full use of the many facilities including swimming pools, gym, pool room, bowling green, and community centre.
As the Assistant VM, you'll be at the heart of our operations, assisting the Village Manager to ensure the seamless day-to-day functioning of the village. From fostering positive relationships with residents and staff to overseeing sales initiatives and promoting a harmonious work environment, your role will be as dynamic as it is rewarding. Additionally, you'll step into a leadership role when the Manager is on leave, providing essential continuity of support.

Key functions:
- Assisting the Village Manager with everyday operations.
- Assist with leading, motivating, and coaching staff.
- Business development with a customer service approach, engaging with the prospective residents.
- Implementing company policies, strategies and plans to maximise resident safety and well-being.
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent administration, time, and project management skills.
- Experience and knowledge of handling emergencies promptly and effectively.
About You
- Supervisor or Team leader experience with a background in hospitality, aged care, or any other high-paced service Industry.
- Excellent customer service skillset.
- Right balance of professionalism, compassion, and empathy when dealing with older people.
- Commitment to high work ethics, and standards.
- Current First Aid qualifications.
