We now have the opportunity for an Assistant Store Manager, preferably with a technical background, to join our dynamic team located at our Motobility Retail Store in Joondalup. You will have a positive "can-do" attitude, report directly to the Area Service Manager at our head office in Osborne Park, and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Joondalup Service Department. You will also be responsible for leading a team of 2 + technicians but also maintain your own workload.
Qualifications & experience
- You have a minimum of 12 months of experience in a formal leadership role, preferably leading a service, workshop or warehouse team.
- You possess high computer literacy, attention to detail and a flexible approach to your work.
- A highly motivated individual with exceptional customer service skills.
- You are driven and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
- High level of organisation and time management skills.
- You are a strong communicator who always acts with integrity and compassion.
- A background in Electrical, Mechanical and Engineering or related discipline would be advantageous, but not essential.
- You are fit and strong - some of our products are heavy (trolleys and assistance are provided to make a safe work environment) at times you might need to help the techs to load-up the van or to deliver a product to a client.
- Have a Valid drivers license.
- LF Forklift license would be advantageous but not essential.
- Willingness to undergo NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) New Workers Check.
- Willingness to receive annual flu vaccination and other vaccinations as required by the NDIS.
- Willingness to do occasional overnight travel (all expenses incl).
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to service team whilst being able to develop and motivate the team to create a positive culture and working environment to ensure exceptional customer service standards are achieved and maintained.
- Working closely with the sales team and Sales Assistant Manager to prioritise all customer orders and ensure all work is carried out to Motobility standards and in a timely manner.
- Manage the process of jobs coming in, warranty claims, orders being completed, and products being successfully delivered to client’s homes.
- Supporting customers over the phone, in person and via email to assist with their service and repairs needs and deliveries and provide accurate verbal and written quotes.
- Accountability for achieving accurate inventory control and process warranty claims.
- Ensuring that the warehouse is always presented in a clean and tidy state in accordance with company standards.
- Occasional building of mobility products, technical fault finding, and assisting in delivering and setting up products in customers’ homes.
