Our commercial laundry located in Nedlands is looking for an Assistant Laundry Manager to help lead a small, dedicated team of laundry attendants. Our priorities are to ensure our team have a pleasant working environment while we deliver a premium service to our clients.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The Assistant, Wildflower Laundry Manager will assist the Laundry Manager to oversee the operation and take the lead in their absence. Some of the day-to-day duties include:
• Supervision, training, and daily management of the team (roster, shift covering)
• Coordinating work assignments with Laundry Manager
• Overseeing and undertaking the laundering of linen
• Collection and delivery of linen to major city hotels as required
• Safe use of laundry equipment and machinery including but not limited to, trolleys, washing machines, dryers and ironer.
Skills and experience
Our next Assistant, Wildflower Laundry Manager will have a passion for motivating the team and delivering outstanding service. This role is a hands-on role, can be physical and requires someone who can lift up to 15kgs of linen at a time and push trolleys full of linen. A manual driver's license is required as this position may be required to drive our van to make deliveries at times. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who has a positive outlook and is willing to learn about our business operations. This is a full-time role; additional days and hours may be required at busy times, with full pay for all additional hours.
