About The Role

My Wealth Solutions is on the hunt for a driven, enthusiastic Associate Adviser to join our client-focused team. In this role, you will be working closely with the Financial Advice and Client Services teams to research, develop, implement and review financial strategies for both new and existing clients. My Wealth Solutions has a diverse client base catering to every stage of one’s financial journey, giving you the opportunity to help develop financial strategies for those just starting out all the way into retirement.

The firm is growing strongly and presents the opportunity for the right advisers to progress in to full Financial Advisory roles and commence your Professional Year if you have not already done so.

This role is particularly suited for those with previous client services experience wanting to progress their career or in an adviser support role looking to take on greater responsibility in a position focused on client-facing work and communication. With room to grow and progress your career in financial planning, our ideal Associate Adviser will be a driven and focused financial professional just as capable of providing support in a team environment as they are autonomously conducting research to help develop strategies that will best suit our clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a Senior Financial Adviser in developing client strategies and managing ongoing client strategy queries
  • Dependent on your experience the ability to begin building your own client base
  • Actioning financial strategies discussed following client meetings
  • Actively nurturing existing client relationships by getting to know their situation and helping to develop strategies that will achieve their goals
  • Be proactive in maintaining My Wealth Solutions’ high standard when it comes to client service and support
  • Prepare Paraplanning submissions, Statement of Advice and Record of Advice documents that are compliant with the relevant legislation and meet client's best interests
  • Stay up to date with changes in legislation and ensure all compliance needs are met to a high standard and in a timely manner
  • Maintain active, regular communication with clients throughout company processes
  • Confidently provide detailed, accurate research and calculations to serve the needs and goals of clients
  • Positively contribute to a collaborative company culture and strive to continually improve professionally
  • A desire to contribute to improving company processes and achieve projects outside of your daily responsibilities
 
Skills & Experience
  • Had a status of 'current' on the financial adviser register at any time between 1 January 2016 and 1 January 2019 AND hold a FASEA approved qualification OR a demonstrable plan to achieve prior to 1 January 2026. (Preferable)

  • 2 years minimum experience in a financial adviser support role within a boutique to mid-sized financial planning firm
  • Proven experience writing ROAs and SOAs 
  • Experience using Xplan (preferable) or equivalent
  • Experience in a client-facing role highly preferable
  • Exceptional organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • A committed and caring attitude focused on productivity, high-quality service and clients’ goals
  • Capacity to juggle competing priorities efficiently and successfully
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Proven strong attention to detail
  • Professional presentation skills and a polite, caring, self-motivated manner
  • Proven ability to work closely in a team and autonomously
